The past few days have, of course, been dominated by the ADAC Sim Racing Expo: the world's biggest sim racing expo, where many manufacturers showed off new products to the world. So did Fanatec, which after a tumultuous period with the necessary setbacks and The acquisition by Corsair, finally came up with positive news again by unveiling their latest line of sim racing hardware at the ADAC Sim Racing Expo 2024. These products are designed to take both novice and advanced sim racers to the next level. In this article, we highlight the five new Fanatec products out and discuss everything we know so far.

The Five New Fanatec Products

After a short period of silence, Fanatec has returned to the spotlight with a bang. At this year's ADAC Sim Racing Expo, the brand presented an impressive range of five new products. From steering wheels to pedals, these revelations prove that Fanatec is determined to raise the bar again in the sim racing industry.

1. Fanatec Handbrake ClubSport V2

One of the most anticipated reveals during the expo was the Fanatec Handbrake ClubSport V2. This long-awaited upgrade within the sim racing community brings significant improvements over its predecessor, the V1.

The ClubSport V2 Handbrake stands out not only for its improved build quality, but also for the addition of load cell technology. This makes the handbrake a real game changer and places it alongside the most premium options on the market. While Fanatec has yet to release exact details on the price and release date, it is clear that this handbrake is a major step forward for the brand.

2. Fanatec's New Cockpit

Besides the handbrake, Fanatec also introduced a completely new sim racing cockpit. Originally developed by Corsair, Fanatec has taken the design, redesigned it and given it its own twist. And I must say that this new cockpit looks fantastic!

Key features:

- 50mm steel tubes: This ensures a sturdy and durable frame construction, finished in both white and black.

- Adjustability: The cockpit offers extensive customisation options, allowing every sim racer to create their ideal setup.

- Elgato Integration: A notable feature of this cockpit is its compatibility with Elgato products, making it particularly suitable for content creators. Consider the integration of lighting, a Stream Deck and other accessories.

3. Fanatec Bentley Continental GT3 Wheel

Another highlight of the expo was the Fanatec Bentley Continental GT3 steering wheel, developed in collaboration with Bentley Motors. This steering wheel is designed to replicate the exact experience of the Bentley Continental GT3 Pikes Peak race car. Fanatec introduced this steering wheel back in 2021, but unfortunately things have been very quiet around this product for a long time. No doubt Fanatec will have been in some hurry to bring this product to the market after all, as Moza Racing previously launched a similar product (the Moza Racing Vision GS) introduced.

Key features:

- 310mm diameter: The steering wheel is the same size as that of the real Bentley GT3, providing an authentic racing experience.

- 3.4-inch round display: The self-leveling display provides real-time information during the race, adding an extra dimension of immersion.

- High-quality materials: Fanatec has used premium materials such as magnesium for the core, 5mm carbon fibre panels and Alcantara grips.

- Advanced paddle shifters: The CNC-machined aluminium shifter flippers with magnetic technology ensure precise and responsive shifts.

This handlebar is with a price of €1,999.95 aimed at the serious sim racer. And that's a lot of money! For that money, you also have, for example, a premium steering wheel like the GSI Hyper P1. It is probably the licensing costs that make this steering wheel so expensive. Though for this amount, you should also expect the details and quality to be exceptional and justify the investment.

4. Fanatec CSL Elite Porsche Vision Gran Turismo Wheel

Another highlight of the new Fanatec products is the new Porsche Vision Gran Turismo Elite Wheel, which is inspired by the concept car from Gran Turismo 7. A great-looking steering wheel that combines modern technology with elegant design. Perfect for racers looking for the ultimate driving experience as well as being fans of the Porsche brand.

Key features:

- Porsche horn: For a more realistic experience, the wheel includes a central horn button, a long-awaited feature within the sim racing community.

- Four rotary switches: The four rotary switches, strategically placed, allow quick adjustments while racing without taking your hands off the wheel.

- Magnetic gearshift paddles: Although the flippers look simple, they use magnetic technology for sharp, precise switching.

The Fanatec CSL Elite Porsche Vision Gran Turismo steering wheel is an officially licensed product, inspired by the Porsche Vision Gran Turismo car from the game Gran Turismo 7. A striking detail is the Porsche emblem, which also functions as a button. For the first time, Fanatec uses hall effect gearshift paddles, ensuring precise and reliable shifting. The steering wheel is finished with a new synthetic suede material, which not only provides a premium look, but also a comfortable grip during long racing sessions.⬤

5. Renewed Fanalab Software

The latest new product introduced by Fanatec is the revamped FanaLab software, an all-in-one package that provides the FanaLab software, drivers and the Fanatec control panel combines. This update makes managing your Fanatec equipment easier than ever, providing a central hub for tuning settings, firmware updates and fine-tuning your racing experience. With this new software, sim racers can more accurately configure and optimise their hardware for maximum performance, all from one clear platform.

Positively Voted

After a difficult period for Fanatec, the company can finally look at 2025 with a positive outlook again. With the support of Corsair Fanatec can expect not only improved customer service, but also more streamlined post-sales processes, such as faster response times and better handling of issues. In order to address the huge sales and inventory issues of the Fanatec Black Friday 2023 behind them and focus on a positive new year - and hopefully cool and new Fanatec Black Friday 2024 deals!

This is especially important given recent complaints about shipping and service. In addition, thanks to Corsair's extensive resources, we can also expect an acceleration in product launches. This provides opportunities for both affordable accessories for beginners and advanced equipment for professional sim racers.

The collaboration between Fanatec and Corsair could also lead to deeper integration of Fanatec's products with Corsair's existing ecosystem, giving users even more options to customise and optimise their setup.
